The Area

The Area

The idyllic seaside village of Bamburgh, previously capital of the kingdom of Northumbria, is set in one of the most breathtakingly picturesque coastal regions the country has to offer, with a spectacular castle standing 150 ft above the sea.

Northumberland has some of the most unspoilt landscapes in Britain with miles and miles of empty sandy beaches. Countless castles scatter the countryside, alongside some great country houses and gardens from its rich and often turbulent history being on the border between England and Scotland.

Take a look at a few of the things you can do when you have a holiday in one of our cottages.
